TEC Retreat March 27-29

Together Encounter Christ (TEC)
The Together Encounter Christ retreat is a three-day retreat for 16 year olds, who have already been confirmed, to enter into deeper relationship with Jesus. Participants experience this message through participation in music, discussions, talks, prayer, Scripture, liturgy, and celebration.

The next TEC is scheduled March 27 – 29 at Lourdes Catholic High School in Rochester. Please encourage your son or daughter to consider this wonderful retreat opportunity. More information can be found at: www.pathwaystec.org.

Boredom Buster Week

Come once or come each day---it’s up to you!
March 26-31 for Grades 6-8
$3 per day or $12 for four or more events
Throughout the week we’ll be working on a Holy Week Mural. Youth will have fun watching all the pieces come together throughout the week and the whole parish can see the finished project displayed in the Gathering Space for Easter Weekend.

Friday the 26th: Foot Friday 5:30-8:30 pm (Church, Activity Room)
This “kickoff” event is all about feet! Start looking towards Holy Week as we walk in Jesus’ footsteps! We’ll begin the night with the Stations of the Cross in the Church. After, we’ll move to the Activity Room. Students are asked to bring at least one pair of shoes (plus $1 donation/pair) to be donated to the Soles 4 Souls foundation which collects shoes and sends them to people in need in over 125 countries. (For more information about Soles 4 Souls visit: www.soles4souls.org) We’ll spend some time working on our “Road to Easter” Mural to be displayed in the Gathering Space Easter Weekend. We’ll use the rest of the time to play games and have pizza in the Activity Room!
Maximum of 15 youth---get your spot today!

Saturday the 27th: Gym Jam 6:00-8:00 pm (School Gym)
Join us in the school gym for music, sports, and games! This is the perfect night to get out some of that extra spring break energy! We will have some large group games and some open gym time. Basketballs will be provided. Water and lemonade will be provided. Please eat dinner before you come. Maximum of 15 youth---get your spot today!

Sunday the 28th: Photo Fun and Movie Night 4:00-8:00 pm (Activity Room)
Like taking photos? Here’s the challenge: use your surroundings to tell a story through photos. Bring your own camera or work as a team with another person. Afterwards we’ll have a hearty snack and watch “The Brave Little Toaster”. Email your completed projects after the event and we’ll display them in the Gathering Space and on the blog! U.S. Bishops Review of ‘The Brave Little Toaster’ can be found at http://www.usccb.org/movies/b/thebravelittletoaster.shtml
Maximum of 12 youth---get your spot today!

Monday the 29th: Spread the Joy! 5:00-8:00 pm (Activity Room)
Join us for a service project and games. We will be creating Easter cards for people in our parish and community who might need some “cheering up” this Easter. Come and use your artistic skills to create cards and spread the joy of Easter! We’ll spend some time working on our “Road to Easter” Mural. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a time of board games and fun. Each student should bring a board game that can be played in a group. Snacks will be provided. Maximum of 20 youth---get your spot today!

Tuesday the 30th: Pasta with the Pastor 4:00-7:00 pm (St. Clare Social Room)
We’ll meet in the social room and finish working on our “Road to Easter” Mural to be displayed in the Gathering Space Easter Weekend. Then, Fr. Reker will teach us how to make an authentic Italian meal—and we’ll get to eat it together! All ingredients and supplies will be provided. Take the recipe home and cook for your family! Maximum of 12 youth---get your spot today!

Wednesday the 31st: EXTREME Egg Hunt! 1:00-4:00 pm (Activity Room)
Join us in the activity Room to begin the HUNT! Sign up in teams of 2-4 people. Each team should dress in a team color and will be asked to come up with a team name. Clues will be given to help teams in their search and one team will be awarded the grand prize. After the hunt we will spend the rest of the time playing games in the Activity Room. Snacks will be provided, please eat lunch before you come. Maximum of 15 students—get your spot today!

More from Lifeline...

Lifeline March 2010

Another GREAT Lifeline Road Trip. We took a bus of 36 people up to the Net Center in St. Paul for the monthly Lifeline youth Mass. There were about 800 in attendance. Good music, powerful Mass and an inspirational (and entertaining!) speaker. After Lifeline we went to a local pizza place for pizza, pop and fellowship.

Lifeline Road Trips are a great way for young Catholics to get fired up about their faith! If you have ever desired more...give it a try!
