Magazine Drive

Are you still looking for a Confirmation Service Activity?
Help out at the St. Francis School Magazine Drive. Meet with us in the Activity Room @ 5:00-6:30 pm on Sunday, February 8th. We will meet to go over details about magazine registration and information. We’ll have something good to eat and also take time to create some posters to “advertise” for this event! This meeting is necessary if you would like to participate in the Service Activity. Then, on Saturday, February 14 and Sunday, February 15th all the participants will help out after Mass by assisting parishioners in magazine orders, answering questions, etc. In lieu of prizes for St. Francis school students, a portion of the proceeds will go to the “Rebuild My Church" Campaign.

Remember, Service Activity Reports are DUE in the Faith Formation Office by Wednesday, March 11th! Be sure to have completed all your service activities before then so you can write about them and turn your report in on time!

***Please RSVP for this Activity if you would like to participate (so we know how much food to get!)

Souper Bowl of Caring Jan 31st and Feb 1st

On Saturday, January 31st and Sunday February 1st a group of youth from St. Francis of Assisi Church will be collecting monetary donations and non perishable food items for the Souperbowl of Caring.

The Souper Bowl of Caring is a national, youth-led movement to fight hunger and poverty. It began with this prayer, "Lord, even as we enjoy the Superbowl football game, help us to be mindful of those who are without a bowl of soup to eat."

100% of our collected donations will benefit Channel One Food Shelf. We will collect donations after each Mass Saturday, January 31st and Sunday, February 1st. We will also continue to collect donations in the Parish Center office until Friday, February 6th.

Please join our youth in this effort to combat hunger in our local community! Thank you!

We started out our night with Mass. After Mass we had pizza and played played games in the activity room. (We even got see a magic trick!)

After the fun and games it was off to the REC Center for skating. It was a busy night with the Ice Hawks game next door--but it was FUN!

We had different levels of skating ability but we all banded together to learn and get better---it was great to see! (Some even helped out the youth minister who doesn't skate that well!)
