USCCB Review:
"Napoleon Dynamite" (Fox Searchlight), an offbeat, low-budget comedy set in rural Idaho, details the high school misadventures of an oddball, wooly-haired misfit (Jon Heder) who lives with his slacker older brother (Aaron Ruell) and cheesy uncle (Jon Gries). In first-time director Jared Hess' quirky film, the title character befriends a shy Mexican student (Efren Ramirez) running for class president against the school's reigning queen bee (Haylie Duff). Although the film is light on plot, Heder's deadpan performance makes this tender ode to eccentricity curiously amusing, if not wholly satisfying. Due to some comic violence and a few instances of mildly crude language and sexual humor, the USCCB Office for Film & Broadcasting classification is A-III -- adults. The Motion Picture Association of America rating is PG -- parental guidance suggested.
Finally, its ok to be weird!! Join us as we watch Napoleon discover true friendship and use his 'skills' to stand up for his friends. We'll have food and fun, movie trivia and more. After the movie we'll talk about the themes of being an outcast, loyalty, friendship and family. If you've ever drawn a 'liger', wanted to take your bike off some 'sweet jumps' or had a bad day at school--this movie is for you!

Bring your chairs and blankets and join with other parish families to enjoy a wonderful afternoon of food,
fun and fellowship under the oak trees (parish lawn
between the church and residence).
Also, come to bid farewell to Father Thompson as he
leaves us to become pastor of St. John’s in Dodge Center,
St. Vincent’s in West Concord and St. Francis de Sales
in Claremont. Food for the picnic is being catered by
the Canadian Honker—pork sandwiches, hotdogs, salads and dessert.See you “under-the-oaks”!
There will also be games for small children available. If any young people are available to help run these games, please let me know! We'd love to see you there!

Welcome Event: Jungle Safari: UPDATE
Our Jungle Safari was alot of fun for those who joined us!
Everyone on the WOLF Youth Council took turns talking about different aspects of youth council such as service projects, fun events, games and favorite memories!
We even watched a video about all the fun we had during Boredom Buster Week this year.
Next was our oooey-goooey snake pit game...
No one was too scared of the 'snakes' (turned out to be spagetti) or our 'mud' (chocolate syrup and pudding)!! Everyone had fun digging in and the youth council team was victorious!
Next was our banana split contest...blindfolded! Our two volunteers did a great job depending on their team members for instructions!! And the 6th grade team won--great job everybody!
A very special thanks goes out to our 2009-2010 middle school WOLF Youth Council. Thanks for all your work this year!!!
